Brief Profile

Continuous Hanging Type Shot Blasting Machines are specially designed for medium and small work piece surface cleaning in large quantity. It adopts single-strand closed-loop transport system. Conveying hooks are loaded with work pieces before moving into the blasting chamber. Work pieces go into the chamber for blasting process at constant speed and frequency. Flexible way and continuous blasting is time & cost effective and this single-strand closed-loop transport system is the best solution to have joint work of transporting and blasting and to be integrated with painting/oil injection line perfectly. 

The raw work pieces can either be loaded as a large single component for processing or hung on specific hanger.

Reliable quality & long lifespan


Shot blasting chamber is completely engineered of manganese steel plates with  thickness between 6 and 10 mm. The blast chamber up to a certain models is welded in one piece, making the machines extremely tight and sturdy. For optimum wear protection, the area exposed to the blast stream is lined with replaceable protective plates that are constructed in manganese steel. These overlapping liners are not bolted on but hung with a special system.


Customizable machine size


This type of machine is available in more design configurations and capacity sizes to adapt to low or high production parts requirements. The machine size, the number and power of the wheel blasters vary considerably depending on the different work pieces as well as expectations of result and efficiency.


High-efficiency transport system

Sealing system


Blasting sealing: rubber segments are equipped at the roller conveyor inlet & outlet and the blasting chamber to keep the machine nearly 100% tight and prevent accidents of shot spillage.


Smart PLC control System


All process parameters of work pieces blasting can be configured and saved in PLC control unit, in the result that repeat input, repeat pushing different buttons are completely unnecessary. This means, much shorter time of parameter configuration, much less working hours of operator and high efficiency. 

Smart communication with built-in 3D guiding technology UI and 7 Inch colorful touch screen for safe operation, easy maintenance.


Environment protection


Great importance is attached by Mayflay to environment protection: noise and dust emission. We adopt high-end methods to reduce noise to 85DB and dust emission concentration to less than 50mg/m3 (these results can be even better with higher standard of configurations).


Thorough blasting effect


To achieve complete coverage, this machine is usually equipped with 8-16 blast wheels. With this number of blast wheels, every work piece in the blasting chamber will be thoroughly treated from each side and this keeps high efficiency on continuous coming work pieces in large quantity.

Main Parts

Hanging Chain System


The continuous overhead conveyor allows the workpieces to move with constant speed through the machine. The conveyor consists of a chain and trolley system suspended from a monorail, and can be driven at constant speed or can be indexed.

The transport speed or index time can be coordinated to the blast wheel power and surface finish required. The system can be easily extended to suit factory layout and integrated with pre- and post-blast operations.

Blasting chamber system


a.The basting chamber consists 6mm-10mm thickness Manganese 13 steel plates well welded in one piece and 10mm Manganese 13 steel protective boards, offering excellent wear resistance. At the exposed area to the blasting shots stream, a line of thick Mn 13 steel protective boards are installed to protect the chamber. These protective boards are not bolted on but hung with a special way and easy to assemble and replace. 

b.8-16 sets of blast wheels are installed at both sides of the chamber to guarantee that the work pieces can be cleaned thoroughly. 

A unique special multi-layer sealing system is developed and installed. It combines with brush seals and rubber segments to make the machine sealing effect excellently when the hooks and cross bar are adapted to the sealing system and it prevents accidents of shot spillage.

Screw conveyor system


a.Screw conveyor includes screw axle, blades and screw heads at both sides and is driven by the gear motor of the bucket elevator.

b.2 or more screw conveyor systems are installed at the bottom of the blasting chamber to transit by pushing the shots to the bottom of the bucket elevator and the shots are lifted by the buckets to the upper part of the elevator and put into the shot separator. 

c.1 set of screw conveyor system is installed at the top side of the bucket elevator to both push shots to the shots separator and separating partial dust and small broken shots through the roller filter.


Bucket elevator system


a.The dismountable elevator, formed by 2pcs high-quality wheel hubs, 1 elevator body, 1 high-performance and durable belt and several alloy buckets, is built with steel plates by accurate soldering technique and driven by 1 gear motor.

b.It collects and lifts the shots recycled by the screw conveyor onto the separator and storage cabinet with the maximum transfer amount 120Ton/H.

c. A window is designed on the elevator for easy maintenance and examination.


Separator system


a.It is built and soldered with steel plates and different chambers inside to lead the air flow and to separate good shots and broken shots +dust.

b.The shots & dust mixture is lead in and go downward on a sliding steel board and good shots

are heavy and not driven to move by the air flow and drop into the good shot storage for recycling usage but broken shots are much lighter to be lead to the other slide board that connected with a broken shot collector/bucket. Dust is led by the air flow to the dust collector.

c.Multi-level steel plates are installed to adjust and balance the sliding shots flow amount. 

d.Magnetic separator is available for powerful sand separating especially for sand-casted parts.


Semi-automatic flow valve


a.Semi-automatic flow valves are equipped to control the flow amount of the shots into the blast wheels with a manual stop valve installed at the upper part of each flow valve to stop the shots flow under the circumstance of examination or maintenance.

The structure is designed as fully sealed with lockable examination window and it comes with 2 bearings.


Blast wheel system


1.Thanks to German technology, Mayflay casting and fully CNC machined blast wheels are designed and manufactured with highly hard-wearing materials and steel plates for easy replacement and maintenance, in combination of our own industrial advantages and features to have excellent performance of dynamic balance and perfect shots output efficiency.

2.Variable-frequency speed control technology to control and adjust the power of the blasting.

Mayflay P series power system (available), specially-designed and manufactured ABB motor, die steel CNC machined + low-pressure & vacuum heat treatment vulnerable parts inside. These special vulnerable parts have 58-62HRC surface hardness that is extremely durable and has super long lifespan.

Dedusting System


a.It includes cyclone separator and the cartridge filter. the cyclone separator separates most of heavy dust and the cartridge filter blocks and filters the escaped air & dust mixture. 

b.Electromagnetic pulse technology is applied in the cartridge filter to shock and separate the dust from the filter. Dust goes down to the collect storage cabinet due to its gravity. Silencer and secondary filter ensure that noise emission is lower than 85DB and dust emission is lower than 50mg/m³

Wet dust collector, a high performance dedusting system with Venturi theory, especially for flammable and explosive media, automatically recycle dust.
